Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) Program

The Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) Program is the only subspecialty program in New York dedicated to this challenging subtype of heart failure. Patients with this condition, also known as diastolic heart failure, often experience symptoms like fatigue and shortness of breath despite normal (or preserved) heart pump function. Diagnosis and treatment are especially challenging for this complex condition. The HFpEF Program seeks to improve outcomes for this vulnerable population.

Dr. Goyal and the HFpEF program are focused on providing comprehensive state-of-the-art care with individualized treatments based on each patient’s unique cardiovascular and medical profile. Key aspects of our program include: to ensure an accurate diagnosis; to develop an optimal care plan; to offer access to the newest therapies; to provide education; and, to help patients take control.
